Little Bears Together

If you were a bear,
and if I were a bear,
we could be little bears together.

And if we were little bears together;
we could go and do all the things; little bears do together.

*

On warm spring days,
we could tumble and rumble on soft green hills together,
where colorful red, yellow, blue and purple flowers bloom together,
and great big orange butterflies fly together!

*

And on bright spring nights,
we could go and play under the white moonlight;
and then count the many twinkling star lights.

*

And
if you were a bear,
and if I were a bear,
we could be little bears together.

And if we were little bears together;
we could go and do all the things; little bears do together.

*

On hot summer days, beneath the golden sun’s rays, we could go together and play in the tall, tall, green woods together; climbing high up into the trees and then maybe we could listen for some buzzing bees. And we might find some sweet, sweet dripping honey and get all sticky and yummy!

*

And on dark blue summer nights,
we could go and find a shining river,
where the fireflies glowing lights, shine bright all night!

And together we could dance all night;
until the moonlight was just a sliver!

*

And
If you were a bear,
and if I were a bear,
we could be little bears together.

And if we were little bears together;
we could go and do all the things; little bears do together.

*

On cool autumn days,
we might fish in the stream as if in a daze,
while all around as if in a dream, the forest’s leaves mellow from summer’s green to autumn’s yellow.

*

And on autumn nights,
while owls go hoot-hoot with delight,
we could stay up late, late in the night;
and tell each other tall stories about great big bears who reach great big heights!

*
And when autumn fades away
and all the leaves have fallen to the ground,
maybe we could still stick around;
and just wait a little while longer…

*

Until the first winters day sprinkles a little snow our way, and then together we could play in the first snow day!

*

And then in the hush of the gentle, snowy nights,
while the hillsides and forest are quiet with winter all around, we could snuggle so close, and sleep so sound.

*

And
If you were a bear,
and if I were a bear,
we could be little bears together.

And if we were little bears together,
we could live long, happy, peaceful lives together;
amidst the green hills, the colorful flowers, the great big orange butterflies, the tall trees, and sweet honey bees, the shining rivers and fishing streams and just you and me, just being little bears together.

*

And when at last,
with so many springs,
summers,
autumns
winters
and days and nights
are passed,

*

and we are two great big old bears together;

*

we could look at each other
and then ask each other,
“Do you remember when we were little bears together?”

  1. And a lovely one too niried! I like this part the best –

    ‘And on dark blue summer nights,
    we could go and find a shining river ,
    where the glowing green fireflies shine all night;
    and together we could dance all night,
    until the moonlight was just a sliver!’

    It reminds me of Moomin Valley from the Tove Jannson books. This is a fine thing, and of course a sprinkling of A.A Milne. I’ve been hoping you’d post some writing. I do remember when you were a bear and I was a bear. We had a little bear behind! Hahahaha. Being a bear would be infinitely simpler. *nods a lot*.

    – sonmi with a little bear behind – the Cloud.

  2. Ah dear Somni &Cloud,
    thank you so much for your kind read and sweet comments. Hhaha make me laugh too 🙂
    Maybe someday we’ll be cloud bears together!
    Hugs!
