Remembering I am a returning child of Bacchus ways

Remembering I am a returning child of Bacchus ways

As spring regrows to life,
and the lingering cold of winter fades away…

I have come to feel again, that a part of myself is beginning to come to life again; as if my very body and psyche are as one with the natural world.

Should anything less be more true?

With this feeling I am beginning to believe a part of the spirit falls to sleep in winter, perhaps is even genuinely within the embrace of the little death. And as it is with nature, so too the spirit, with the coming of springtime – is born to live again!

I originally wrote the above last spring in 2008. Now, I have just lived again through another spring in the beautiful Bay Area of San Francisco and then come to Kyoto, Japan to experience their spring. I marvel that I have had two springs this year!

  1. It is now the fresh new spring of 2010.The darkest hour of the winter at last begins to wane and finally I start to feel alive again.

It really reminds me how much this is becoming a mantra in my life.
